The Bulletin ¹ 4(16), 2000, has been published nowadays.

(the editor-in-chief – professor Chumakov A.N., executive secretary – professor Yaroschuk N.Z.).

In the “Editorial Column” the editor-in-chief professor Chumakov A.N. analyses “the workdays of Russian philosophers”, some jubilees giving rise to such an analysis: in 2001 the Russian philosophical society is 10 years ( as a successor of the USSR philosophical society – it is 30)  and it is 5 years since the Bulletin of the Russian philosophical society is being published. It is underlined that the RPhS is an All-Russian public organization,  based on  common world-view , not on professional membership. It embraces quite different opinions, points of view, positions concerning urgent problems, and this is an essential condition for functioning of such a creative community The number of the members of the society before the end of 2000 is 2305. Prof. Chumakov enumerates several thoroughly organized conferences in Russia, that were not only very interesting by themselves, but also represented important stages of the preparation for the III All-Russian philosophical congress “Rationalism on the eve of the III Millennium” (Rostov-Don, September,16-20,2002), which in its turn is  a stage of preparation for the XXI World philosophical congress “Philosophy facing global problems.”(Istanbul, Turkey, August, 2003).
